Overview

TopTeam Requirements v25.03 is officially here, and it brings a massive wave of web-based administration, smarter AI choices, and refined usability enhancements! This release marks a significant milestone in transitioning full project control to the web while introducing powerful new ways to explore and reuse your requirements.

New Features!

Send Any Package for Review Initiating formal reviews for any package type ensures stakeholder alignment across every phase of the project.
      • Teams can now send any regular or system package for review, such as "Ideas".
      • Reviews can be started directly from Document View, maintaining a consistent workflow regardless of the package type.

    Baseline Selection for Reviews
Comparing changes against specific baselines during a review provides immediate clarity on what has evolved since a previous project state.
      • When initiating a review from a OneView Document, you can now select a specific baseline for comparison.
      • Reviewers can preview differences before sending the request and toggle "Diff Options" to see changes relative to the selected baseline.

    Web-Based Administration Expansion
Consolidating configuration tools into the web interface gives administrators the mobility and speed to manage project settings from any browser.
      • Administrators can now configure record type fields, list values, and state-specific field behaviors directly in the web app.
      • New web interfaces are available for defining package structures, OneView field layouts, and customizable export templates.
      • Global settings for Use Case terminology, fonts, and styles are now accessible without the desktop utility.

    Reuse Explorer
Gaining deep visibility into how requirements are adopted across projects helps maintain consistency and verify compliance with standardized business rules.
      • This new tool helps teams understand reuse relationships and measure the adoption of library artifacts across the organization.
      • It provides a central way to verify if projects are adhering to standardized requirements.

    Gemini AI Support
Expanding the list of integrated AI providers gives teams more flexibility to leverage cutting-edge intelligence for their specific needs.
      • TopTeam now officially supports Gemini as an AI service provider alongside other leaders like OpenAI and Anthropic.
      • Organizations can configure Gemini authentication profiles within the AI IntelliCore settings.

    Bulk Derive Artifacts using AI
Generating new content from multiple source artifacts simultaneously saves significant manual effort and produces richer, more comprehensive results.
      • Users can now select multiple artifacts—even of different types—and process them together in a single AI operation.
      • AI combines the context of all selected records to generate derived artifacts from their combined information.

    Update Record Hyperlinks Wizard
Maintaining accurate documentation is simpler with an automated way to refresh link text across large sets of artifacts.
      • This new wizard enables users to update embedded hyperlink display names when linked records are renamed.
      • It ensures consistency across projects and packages by keeping labels in rich text fields synchronized with current artifact names.

    Enhancements & Changes

TopTeam Requirements Desktop Renamed to TopTeam Utility Clarifying the role of the desktop application helps users focus on the web interface for all primary authoring and administration tasks.
      • The new name reflects that the desktop app is now intended only for auxiliary functions not yet available on the web.
      • Most users will no longer need to install the utility, as nearly all collaboration and authoring happens in the browser.

Folder Support in Test Suite Editor
Organizing massive test collections becomes effortless with a hierarchical layout that is easy to navigate and hand off to other testers.
      • Users can now create folders within a Test Suite to group Test Cases and nested suites using simple drag-and-drop.
      • The folder structure is preserved when including content from the repository, making large suites much more manageable.

    Use Case Activity Diagram Improvements
Creating cleaner, more compact diagrams improves readability for stakeholders reviewing complex scenarios.
      • Steps that only contain links to artifacts can now be attached to the previous activity as clickable icons instead of appearing as separate steps.
      • This reduces visual clutter and unnecessary diagram length while keeping supporting artifacts easily accessible.

    Intelligent Permalinks
Pasting artifact links as descriptive hyperlinks instead of raw URLs creates more professional and informative communications.
      • Permalinks are now pasted intelligently based on the destination; they appear as standard URLs in plain text but as clickable hyperlinks with the artifact name in rich text editors.
      • This saves time by automatically providing context when sharing links in email or Microsoft Word.

Excel Export with Rich Text Formatting
Retaining complex content like tables and images during exports ensures that data shared via Excel remains visually accurate and complete.
      • Users can now choose to export Rich Text fields as "Raw HTML Text with Tags," preserving fonts, images, and formatting.
      • This HTML source can be easily copied from Excel and rendered in other applications that support rich content.

    Component Catalog Replacement
Standardizing on approved, published versions of shared components is faster, reducing the need to rebuild or manually re-link items.
      • Components can now be replaced directly using published variants from the Component Catalog.
      • This streamlines the process of updating projects with the latest standardized system parts.

    Bug Fixes

    System Reliability and UI Refinements
      • OneView Documents: Resolved an issue where copying and pasting artifacts in a package section could cause rendering errors.
      • Rich Text Editor: Fixed a bug where replacing text in an image caption would incorrectly move the cursor.
      • Dashboard Widgets: Corrected a behavior where only project baselines were shown instead of OneView baselines.
      • Records Reuse: Fixed trace links occasionally displaying from unrelated projects after a merge operation.
      • Browser Performance: Eliminated intermittent performance warnings that appeared when opening new browser tabs in Chrome and Edge.

TopTeam v25.03 designed to make your web-based workflows more flexible and your AI-driven requirements smarter.
